sarah help i've started watching sherlock and i don't understand why in the third episode of the first season they're in some cafeteria and john's like "do you think this is moriarty?" and sherlock says yes i mean wtf how did they know moriarty existed before, when did they introduce the character? did i miss something? i watched the study in pink episode and then the second one about the chinese mafia etc there's nothing more before that one right?
in a study in pink, the cabbie says he has a sponsor, and when john killed him, sherlock asked him who his sponsor was and all the cabbie said was ‘moriarty’ and sherlock didn’t know if that was a name or a group or what so sherlock and john were anticipating moriarty doing something soon, and so in the great game, sherlock was just convinced it was moriarty’s doing because he knew moriarty was a clever criminal and his involvement with the cabbie but yeah jim moriarty doesn’t ~officially appear~ in the show until the great game and yeah those are the only 3 episodes of the first season and season 2 only has 3 episodes too and i’m glad you’re watching it!!!!!!!!
